Social Firms Scotland is always keen to hear from members and individuals who are interested in becoming a director of our organisation.
If you think you’ve got what it takes, are driven by creating equal opportunity to work for all and are able to spare approximately 3-5 hours per month, here’s how to kick start the process of becoming a Board Member:
Step One - Read through the Background Information sheet including the role of the Board and the roles of individual Board members. If you would like further information or to have a chat in person please contact us.
Step Two - Complete the Application form and submit to the Chair of the Board along with a current CV if appropriate
Step Three - Meet with a Board member and the CEO. If you can foresee any conflict of interests now would be the time to discuss these.
Step Four - The Board will consider your application at the next scheduled Board meeting based on the current needs and vacancies on the Board
If you are successful, you will be officially accepted on to the Board either through the AGM or you might be co-opted on to the Board at at Board meeting
